DPO Forum: Annual update for data protection officers 2020

The event is aimed exclusively at internal and external company data protection officers. The relevant knowledge of the GDPR and data protection law is assumed. On this basis, practice-relevant developments of recent months will be discussed, which have an impact on everyday life as a data protection officer, and a training certificate will be issued.

Course of the event

Presentations with discussion, questions and exchange of experience:

• Data protection in the group, e.g. central e-mail server in the group of companies

• Data transfers with a foreign connection / cross-border data transfer, e.g. legal basis at the interface between two legal systems

• EU standard contractual clauses

• Current resolutions of the DSK, e.g. personal data in company acquisitions

• Current status of cookies and cookie banners

• Limits of order processing

• Current developments on joint controllership in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR

• Current rulings on the relationship between the GDPR and the Art Copyright Act (KUG)

• Experience with data breach notifications

• What is the state of the art and differentiation from IT security, e.g. when must encryption be used, how to deal with the current BSI
