Mediation under inheritance law
The term mediation covers various options for settling disputes out of court, which are being used more and more frequently in numerous areas of law. As a rule, court proceedings are very costly and time-consuming. They are also associated with a high level of stress for the parties involved. Particularly in the area of inheritance law, where the parties often belong to the same family, this can lead to conflicts that go far beyond the actual point in dispute. To avoid this, the mediation process offers the parties involved new perspectives. With the help of a mediator, the parties work out alternative solutions that lead to different results and add value rather than loss ("win-win situation").
