Settlement of estates as executor

The execution of a will is an institution provided for by the German Civil Code for the settlement or administration of an estate. The executor acts as a kind of trustee for the testator. He must ensure that the will of the testator documented in the will is implemented. Depending on the objectives specified by the testator, there are different types of executorship. Of particular importance are the settlement execution and the permanent execution.
