Inheritance law: Spousal wills

When arranging their legal succession, spouses in a traditional family generally focus first and foremost on their mutual security. The surviving spouse should not be forced to move out of the marital home etc. in order to satisfy the children's inheritance claims. Many spouses want the children to inherit once the surviving spouse has passed away. But how can this wish be realized in a legally and fiscally optimal way?
