Reorganization & Restructuring

If strategic crises are recognized too late, the consequences for the affected companies are often severe: profitability targets are missed on a permanent basis, which means that the company's financial performance continues to decline. If unexpected negative special effects then occur in this situation, the company is no longer in a position to react appropriately. Ultimately, this development quickly leads to a liquidity crisis.

Restructuring

In the area of restructuring, we support you in overcoming corporate crises and advise you from the early identification of crisis situations to the development and implementation of restructuring measures and concepts. To do this, we take a detailed look at the company's current situation, its competitive environment and the causes of the crisis. On this basis, we can work with you to develop and implement specific measures to restore the financial situation and profitability.

  • Preparation of restructuring concepts and expert opinions (in accordance with IDW S6)
A restructuring concept in accordance with IDW S6 can be broken down into the following components:

  1. Analysis of the company's current situation

  2. Determination of the crisis stage

  3. Analysis of the causes of the crisis

  4. Statements on going concern (insolvency/over-indebtedness)

  5. Measures to overcome the company crisis; integrated restructuring planning (liquidity, earnings and asset planning).

If your company urgently needs outside capital in the event of a crisis, you will not be able to obtain a bank loan under normal circumstances without submitting a restructuring report: For legal reasons, banks are not allowed to grant loans even if a crisis situation is assumed.

A restructuring concept or expert opinion should show plausibly and transparently whether and how the company can survive on the market in the long term. The presentation of the company's future profitability and competitiveness is the basis for banks and/or other financing partners to grant loans in a tight earnings or liquidity situation.

Restructuring

In crisis situations, company management and investors (e.g. shareholders or banks) require early and reliable information about the current state of the company. We support you in quickly gaining an overview of the financial and organizational situation as well as the market positioning of the company. First of all, we develop measures to release liquid funds in the short term and thus strengthen the company's financial situation. If necessary, we also support you in discussions with investors and suppliers. We then develop proposals for solutions to make the company's organization and processes more effective and support their implementation.
